The Oracle of Delphi is the very first card in the Major Arcana of the Akashic Tarot. It is therefore synonymous to a new beginning, as well. The intuitive meaning of the card is as follows:
Upright Meaning:
When the Oracle of Delphi card comes out upright, it is a good reminder of your intuitive powers. This card depicts an antic, Ancient Greek oracle woman predicting the future. In the background, you will see an older, wise-looking man with a script. This man is behind her, perhaps observing her and looking up to her. The woman appears radiant and beautiful. On her head, braided flowers adorn her crown. This gives her an ethereal and fairy-like look, too.
When this card comes out, you might be the oracle depicted and you carry that infinite wisdom within you. The card is a good reminder that you have that inner knowing and power and that your wisdom shines through. But not only that. Your intuitive, psychic gifts can also help others. Just like the man in the background is looking up to the oracle woman, others may look up to you for psychic advice and intuitive insight in general. If you were considering a career in this field (psychic, spiritual), now may be a good time to pursue it or dig deeper into your gifts. The man in the background could symbolize checking you out anonymously online or in the back of a crowd in a public setting.

Reverse Meaning:
When the Oracle of Delphi card comes out in reverse, this may be a sign that you have abandoned your inner trust and intuition at this point in time. Something may have occurred and left your soul in turmoil. Perhaps you have listened too much to other people's advice or even psychics. This in turn has made you forget your own inner knowing and psychic-ness, which you carry within. It may be a good time to step away from all that and to dig deeper into your own gifts. To honor your own self again and see that inner power, which you carry within you. Do not deny that inner voice. Instead, listen to it and become the oracle in your own life again!
