In this blog post we will discuss Hilarion, which is the fifth card of the Major Arcana.
The Hilarion card is the fifth card in the Major Arcana of the Akashic Tarot. This is more of a contemplative card to me and less of an action card. The intuitive meaning of the card is as follows:
Upright Meaning:
When the Hilarion card comes out upright, it is time to be still and do more research. While this card is all about the ascended master / saint called Hilarion, I rarely interpret it that way. See my blog post on why I do not work with the angels, archangels, ascended masters or any other entity.
For me, the focus is more on the ghost-like figures in the background and also the green energy around the red-colored Hilarion figure. It is always worth noting that the name Hilarion is of Latin origin and stands for "cheerful and happy." And hilarious is an adjective very much meaning similar. The green energy to me symbolizes matters of the heart and heart healing coming in. It may be an auspicious time to focus on both. Love is not always romantical. We can feel love towards anyone and anything. But I do see this card as family-oriented so perhaps your relatives and family are in the focus now.
When this card shows up, it's an excellent time to call upon some ancestral wisdom and knowledge. Perhaps there is someone in your family lineage, who can help you broaden your knowledge on where your last name or lineage comes from. Or you're being animated to look further into who your real family is, such as parents, grand-parents, great-grandparents and so-on. Where did they come from? What did they achieve? What were the blockages they experienced?
A lot of our mindsets and traumas may very well be from generations ago. For example, a poor money mindset does not come out of nowhere. Instead, it has most likely been passed on from generation to generation. It is only broken by someone who is conscious about it. You might very well be that first person in your lineage to finally work through generations of trauma, unworthiness, abundance blocks - to end it right then and there.
This card is more of a logical and mindset card. Scientific jobs or matters may be coming up, too. Similar to research, mediumship, the law etc.
Overall this card showcases a specific matter to be approached from a logical perspective (and not so much an emotional one).
Love:
Whichever love your pursuing, perhaps this connection is guided by higher powers than you initially think. Some relationships may have been orchestrated and the spirit realm has your back. Meaning some of you may even feel your deceased grandparent around when thinking about this specific person.
Overall meaning:
Time to engage the mind in matters of research, science, mediumship, the law and all that.
Reverse Meaning:
When the Hilarion card comes out in reverse, this may be a sign that things are not being approached from a logical perspective but more from an emotional one. While emotions are important, not every matter requires them to the same degree. Instead, try to step back from a matter, which may have gotten you all heated or riled up. Try to look at things from a logical standpoint and perspective. Perhaps there is also some missing information, which is important and which you are not aware of yet.
And lastly, some deceased ancestors may come through again with this card.

It is a 62-card deck with five different focal points: The Major Arcana and four Minor Arcanas. This tarot card deck directly connects you with your intuition and is open to interpretation by anyone willing to expand their awareness and tapping into the higher force, abundance and wisdom of your own personal inner knowing. The name also implies a connection to your own, personal Akashic Records.
