Amber From Latvia...

Today I was reminded that exactly five years I was in Riga, Latvia doing an Eastern Europe tour. This was all before @pleiadianhealer. My fascination for amber, or rather “Bernstein” how I like to call it in the German way, has always been big. Parts of my family are actually from the part of Danzig, Poland before it turned into actual Poland and when it was still considered Germany (before WWII). This area together with Latvia and other parts are known for the gorgeous gem stone, which looks like fossilized juice from a tree, which is exactly what it is.
The fossilized resin can be great as an anti-inflammatory and traditionally amber bracelets were given to babies to chew on in some countries to reduce the symptoms of teething. Have you ever been to Riga? The town itself is cute and I’m happy I saw it during the winter months as it gave an extra special atmosphere to the place.
Do you want to see more of these throwbacks? I have quite a few. ❤
